Indians vs. Reds, Game 60

Sowers vs. Belisle

Top 1st...

Sizemore hits a mammoth shot to center for a lead off homerun.

Indians 1, Reds coming to bat.

And his fastball, when not spotted is extremely hittable. Josh Hamilton, come on. Can we have just one scoreless inning from our soft tossers?

You know, it might be time to give Perez a shot in the starting rotation. His walks are down; he strikes out more batters than either Sowers or Lee; and his groundball ratio is decent.

Plus, he's only 26. So he should be another 1-3 years from his prime.

Perez is sick. And good for him. He is earning a spot on this pitching staff.

I like what he has done in the bullpen, and I like the 2nd lefty.....but maybe we should consider him for a spot in the rotation. I don't knw how much longer the Indians can tolerate Sowers and Lee.

Even after the HR to Griffey, he has looked good.

I'm not all that upset tonight. This team is clearly going through some offensive issues, and our two worst pitchers went last night and tonight.

What is concerning is SIX home runs given up in two games.

Man, the Reds bullpen has got to be close to its breaking point. Last night they pitched . . .

Stanton
Coutlangus
Majewski
Weathers

. . . and tonight they've used . . .

McBeth
Coutlangus
Majewski
Stanton
Weathers

Only guys left are Santos and Burton.

And 1 of those two is coming in for the 10th (unless I lost the Cinci pitcher slot in the lineup with all the changes).

Time to pound these bums and win this game.

Come on Tribe!!!

I dont mind walking Griffey, but I think they could've gotten him at second.

Don't know if Wedge or the rest of you would, but I would empty th rest of the bench right now. I would shift Vic to 1st, Shoppach behind the plate and move JoeB to Ponk's slot in the lineup

Absolutely. We had no business winning this one. But Dellucci gets the big hit, Gutierrez the game saving catch, and Hafner although not pretty gets the run home.

And now a chance for another series win with the ace going tommorrow.
