Help with a Tom Candiotti Question

Unread postby NoWearMan » Fri Jun 08, 2007 12:41 pm

The only foul ball I ever got was at the Kingdome about a million years ago. Tom Candiotti/Jeffery Leonard. Anyway, I was telling this story when a coworker said that he recently heard a story about Candiotti pissing on a teammates birthday cake.

I googled, but could find nothing. Is this a bogus story?

Can't really help you, but find it funny that you may have entered "Tom Candiotti pissing on cake" into the google box.

Anyone else see that column on Candy in the PD yesterday?

Dude is a pro bowler now. With a 300 game to his credit.

Went searching for some Candy articles today, and came up with this one. He says he started a trend of Dominican pitchers always hitting Jeff Kent in his first AB of a series, because Kent was killing him playing against him in fantasy baseball.

Yeah, I remember reading a couple columns along those lines.

Candy was a big fantasy (rotisserrie) baseball guy, back before it became fashionable. He played in the late 80's/early 90's when it was still a cult thing. The Kent story is a classic ... worth the read for anyone in this thread. I've seen a couple other Candy fantasy baseball stories along those same lines as well.
