2007 All-Star Game

Unread postby psk678 » Thu Jun 07, 2007 4:08 pm

At this point in the season, with the ASG coming up, I would like to hear some predictions on how many AS the tribe will be sending to San Fran this year.

I'm going to say we have 3 for sure All-Stars
-C.C. Sabathia -9-1 and 80 some strikeouts
-Joe Borowski -rediculously high era, but you can't argue with the saves
-Victor Martinez -dude is simply raking right now

And we have several borderline All-Stars
-Grady Sizemore -isn't having an amazing year, but I still could see him making it
-Fausto Carmona -if there is a guy from this list to make it, it's him
-Paul Byrd
-(believe it or not) Jhonny Peralta - putting up some very good numbers

what are your thoughts?

P.S. even if Hafner starts to heat up, he will still fall short, IMO.

If you ask me, right now based on numbers, the three locks are Martinez, Sabathia, and Carmona.

I don't think Borowski gets in. The saves are nice, but I'm sorry the ERA is not all-star worthy.

I think we'll get 4-5 guys.....so I could see 1-2 of Byrd, Sizemore, Blake, and Peralta getting the nod. Hafner has no shot.
