As his career goes on he looks like practically a twin of Tim Raines to me. These guys are fascinating, falling into the just short of HOF category.

He never gets adequate credit nor mention concerning his contribution to the Indians glory days in the 1990's. No doubt he was an exceptionally important and under appreciated player.

Oh well, at least he has made a boat load of money.

Lofton in his prime was the ideal leadoff hitter and one of the best I've ever seen. I always wanted his OBP to be a bit higher, but I loved the stolen bases. When he stole 75 in 1996, that was fantastic. Great distraction to the pitcher when he got on base.

He had good range in CF and did well enough even with a noodle for an arm.
