AA manager Phillip Wellman does his best imitation of Lou Piniella & Billy Martin.

Some are already calling it THE FULL PINIELLA.

That was funny. I wonder what the call had to be about. He really went and pulled off some antics. However Mr. Wellman if you want to the big's you may have hurt yourself. What team will hire a showboater like that?

He's not going anywhere.

Minor league managers can be so hilarious. This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Frickin army crawl to the mound and use the rosin bag as a grenade. I'd love to know if he thought of that on the fly or had it planned out.

The Ashville manager flip-out is awesome too, it's more pure anger. The water bottle spike is nice but this one is wayyyyyy better.

His club has far and away the best record in the Southern League. He provided some great entertainment. Hopefully the Braves brass got a good laugh out of it and let him go on managing.

We need folks with a sense of humor, he certainly has a great one.

One of the funniest blowups ever. An army crawl, and throwing the rosin bag like a grenade at the umpire. That's classic.

I had read that he has had funny blowups before, when managing at Chattanooga. Apparently, he enjoys the humor himself.

The army crawl to the mound, then lobbing the rosin bag as a grenade may be the funniest stunt I've ever seen pulled by an irate baseball manager.

It's the Lee Elia Rant of on field manager meltdowns.

Absolutely classic. That had to be premeditated, and maybe even rehearsed.

He received a three day suspension and praise from Bobby Cox.

What is three days of pay to a minor league manager, a thousand bucks?

Just watched it again.....the *grenade* toss is epic. And, I am not sure that was premeditated or not. Either way, who cares. That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen at a sporting event.
