Most important game of the season so far

Win this game, and it sets the tone that last night was the fluke. Lose this game, and Detroit starts getting thoughts in their heads that they can hang with us.

Sowers has to come up big today. And I mean, huge.

Nah. As I write this it's 5-2, but I really don't think this has quite the significance, especially with Leyland. Detroit CAN hang with us, and it will come down to the wire, with one team getting the AL Central and the other the wild card. They have a DL that looks like the Browns, although obvisouly losing Westbrook has really hurt us as well. If these were the White Sox and we could take 6 out of the first 7 and bet on some type of Ozzie meltdown, then I'd be with you. This one is a dog fight to the end. One that Ron Mexico would be proud of.
