Tribe's starting lineup vs. the lefty:

G. Sizemore cf
C. Blake 3b
T. Hafner dh
V. Martinez c
J. Peralta ss
R. Garko 1b
J. Michaels lf
J. Barfield 2b
F. Gutierrez rf

"Accuscore" has our win percentage at 66%, which is one of the higher scores I've seen this year. Not sure what their computers are picking up on.

Tribe just dropped a 4 spot on the Tigers to tie the game at 5. Michaels and Peralta both with 2 run homers.

STOP PUTTING FULTZ IN WITH THE BASES LOADED!

This is the 3rd time he has walked in a run.

It's pretty remarkable, actually.

As for Mastny, rough night . . .

Changes to be made to the bullpen:

Get rid of Oldberto

Relegate Fultz to the second lefty (behind Perez) and stop bringing him in with the bases loaded

Get Cabrera some work to get his confidence back

See what Mujica can do with an extended look

Cabrera needs to pitch every trash time/mop up inning the indians have and they need to get him some Prozac so he can overcome whatever mental ailment he currently has.

Whatever it is, it is currently causing him to have over-throwatitus.

I just had to Google Map my own address to make sure I'm still living in Cleveland.

It all started with the NFL Draft. What a run this town is on right now.

What a baseball game ...

Unbelievable. Simply stunning. The way this team plays at Jacobs Field...I can't even describe it! What a great baseball game!

And, we've taken out Todd Jones, their closer, for probably the next two games in the series. He threw almost 50 pitches tonight.

NOBODY needed that hit more the David Dellucci. And did you see Nixon round Home and go straight out to Dellucci? This team genuinely enjoys each other's company, and it makes it so much fun to watch.

Manning was right. The magic is back at Jacobs Field. They are so unbelievably good at home.

Great crowd. First real sellout of the season, the crowd was great, and they were treated to a great game. Back and fourth all night. Indians came back 3 different times and finally took the lead on the last batter. Wow.

Between last night and tonight, I am absolutely on top of the world right now.

I love this team. They've got some bumps, especially in the bullpen, but this team never, ever quits.

And did you see Dellucci looking over his shoulder for the pie? Nixon tried to get him, but couldn't. This is so fun.

Todd Jones, 7 hits and 2 walks in one official inning. The Tiger bullpen woes continue.

And yeah, this Tribe team genuinely likes each other. And is starting to recapture that Jacobs Field magic we saw in 1994 and 1995.

Shapiro's strategy of high character, high baseball IQ guys, split platoons, deep bench ... looks genius right now.

In stark contrast, witness the Cubs. Carlos Zambrano and Michael Barrett got into a fight in the dugout, then got into a fight in the clubhouse later. Barrett went to the hospital with a cut lip at least.

Thank God for this group of guys we have here.

I honestly had to check multiple sources to believe this actually happened. After Ferd walked three, including one to yield the 11th run, and they brought in OLDBERTO to SAVE THE DAY (which, of course, he did not, giving up another run), I turned off the computer and started reading. I came back to see the final, and ... that's just hard to believe.

I have a request, though: please stop bringing in Aaron Fultz with the bases loaded. Please. I'm begging you. Don't ever do it again. I will commit a crime. Please. Don't. Please.

(Boy, Mastny was bad. I guess everyone has an off night.)

Yeah, for whatever reason Mastny just didn't have any control tonight. Everyone has them sometimes. I'm willing to forgive him for this one, because he's been so good on a regular basis otherwise.

I'd hoped Wedge would have kept Cabrera out after that one inning he threw, and let him leave on a good note. Oldberto couldn't have done worse in the next inning, and I have a feeling his days here are getting closer to being numbered.

Fultz...God. That dude should not ever see a bases loaded situation. Ever.

But thank God for the Jacobs Field magic. I still can't believe we won that game.

If I hadn't been watching, I wouldn't have believed it.

I started cutting over to the talking heads on Baseball Tonight and their '4th string' was in. Needless to say, they were surprised at with the Tribe comeback.

BTW, say a report out of St. Louis that they might br looking to move Izzy. Anyone here wondering the cost????

You know, I had that feeling all night we'd come back. When down 5-1, I had a feeling we'd come back and make it a game....and when we were down there 11-7 in the 9th I felt we'd make some noise. I'm starting to believe we are never out of it.

How about Michaels hitting a BOMB on a 3-0 count and down two runs? Jesus H.

Mastny was awful tonight. When he was unable to throw strikes to Perez who WAS TRYING TO GET HIMSELF OUT TRYING TO BUNT I was immediately calling for his removal. It was clear he just didn't have it. Felt Wedgie stuck with him too long.

Anyway, Victor might be out MVP right now. With Hafner and Sizemore off to so-so starts (by their standards), Victor has jut been flat out amazing. Peralta has also been a huge plus.

In fact, this lineup is taking shape nicely. Say what you want about Casey Blake, but the guy is a decent player and he may have found a home in the 2-hole....and Garko in the 6-hole. I really, really like this team 1-6. The one weakness to me is we should only be starting one of Nixon/Dellucci.

WHat a game though. Wow.

Being down there was amazing. When Grady grounded out to start the ninth I was a bit discouraged. And then the barrage came, amazing. I had a feeling when Barfield stepped to the dish he would get the job done. And Dellucci, just missed earlier got it right, amazing game. Need the Detroit sweep tommorrow!

I work in a bar in metro Detroit and all night I've been hearing how this week has been the worst week for Detroit sports. They aren't very pleased right now seeing me walking around in my Tribe hat and a grin from ear to ear knowing this has been a great sports week for me. The game tonight was a dagger in the hearts of Tiger fans.....I LOVE IT!!!!

YESSS WE PICKED A GOOD ONE!!! Sorry to any Swebs that also got to go, I couldn't post it but a buddy and me were able to attend this one. (sec. 174) Simple awsome atmosphere...electric. I was surprised at only one Detroit sucks chant in my section that was towards the end of the game, but there are a LOT of Detroit Tigers/Pistons fans already here in Cleveland. Seeing the Jake just about full was truly awe-inspiring. Victor is raking the ball right now, if he stays hot and Pronk and Grady go back to their oldselves we aren't going to lose a series for a long time.

I loved Dell's reaction to his GW hit. I saw the hit and knew we won, but I didn't actually see it land due to about 80,000 hands going sky-high in an instant. Awsome feeling, easily the best baseball game I've been to.

After the game a Tigers fan decided to take out his anger no a trashcan...he walked away limping!
