MLB Extra Innings

The blood-suckers at MLB aren't even giving their normal discount for ordering before the seasons starts.

Bastards.

I thought the automatic renewal for MLB.tv starting in March for Spring Training was a bit much.

I had a 20% off discount with my Baseball Prospectus account. Split the cost with a buddy. You can have two IP addresses on at the same time, so that should work out.

In past years you could have well over 2 IPs watching at the same time. I've been using an account for the last 3 seasons that at least 20 people have the credentials for, and we never experienced any issues.

No idea. That's just what I was told by a buddy who has it. I imagine there's something about it in the terms and conditions. Hopefully it keeps working for you.

T&Cs actually say it's strictly prohibited to share log-ins with multiple users but, I like others shared last year and had no problems and my IP address (UK) can't get much further away from the person I was sharing with (Bookelly in LA).

Yeah, Daz and I split it no problemo. Tho I thought it was $125 Daz...I owe you $2.50.

One year I gave mine out to the whole boards...no issues. Tho that was 2008 or whatever. I do think they give you x amount of bandwith. So multiple users on one account means slow or crappy pictures.

At 129.99 for the full year subscription, I find it to be a hard to beat value. Baseball is my favorite sport however and i am not much of a tv or movie guy. If the NFL package was the same price I would not buy it and it is about 3 times the price. Baseball fans like me are a dying breed though.

It was nice to watch a little of the spring training games.

Yeah, baseball is back!

Anyone know a good workaround for the local blackout? We got rid of cable over the winter and will never have it again. Just started looking into workarounds, seems they won't let you hide your IP address anymore.

By partnering with Daz I have no blackouts. I can watch Los Doyers all I want. Buddy up with somebody out of state. You can split it at least once. Probably more unless they've caught up with our scheming ways.

If you use Chrome or Firefox, you can use something called the "Hola Unblocker". It'll spoof an IP address from wherever (you can set it to be in the UK, Germany, US, whatever) and it should come through to the MLB as being from that address.

It's worked well enough for me spoofing a US IP to watch CBS.com or Hulu, so I'd think it would work for you!

I take back some of the bad things I originally said. I didn't realize that my MLB Extra Innings also got me access to all the MLBtv.com.

I "had" (twist my arm) to go get an iPad to Chromecast the games to the TV. My trusty laptop is no longer supported by MLB. It's like a bummer man.

This is why I never signed up and I'm in another state and 200 miles away. They still black me out.
