Jake Westbrook announces retirement

Unread postby British_Pharaoh » Sun Feb 16, 2014 12:35 pm

JW has decided to hang up his cleats after encouraging little interest on the FA market.

Probably my favourite Indian since I started following baseball and the Indians in 2001. It would have been nice to have seen him with the Tribe during ST as a NRI, although his chances of breaking camp would likely have been minimal.

It would be nice to see him in a role with the organisation in the future. Great pitcher, great professional.

Was a serviceable pitcher for the Indians.

But will most probably be remembered as the pitcher that took the W in game 6 of the 2011 World Series.
Detroit, we are coming for the central division in 2014!!!
