6/10/2011 Carmona vs. The Bankees

Unread postby Symbolic47 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 5:05 pm

Lineups-

1. Jeter SS
2. Granderson CF
3. Big Tex 1b
4. Dick-Rod 3B
5. Cano- 2nd
6. Swisher- RF
7. Posada- DH
8. Gardner- LF
9. Cervelli- C

Nova (4-4, 4.50 ERA)

1. Brantley- LF
2. Droobs- SS
3. Grady- CF
4. Santana- C
5. Choo- RF
6. LaPorta- 1B
7. Buck- DH
8. Cord "Im Free" Phelps- 2B
9. Hannahan- 3B

Carmona the headcase- (3-7, 5.31 ERA)

Lets get this turned around. good news is we usually hit really well in NY. We have given them some epic beat downs over the past 7 years. here;s hoping Carmona can get it going today. Doing so against NY would give him confidence. :dingle:

Santana's fundamentals behind the plate are terrible.

OK I was thinking if Fausto retired Posada, the damage was limited- but that was not to be.

I know there was a previous thread about trading Carmona, but what if any value does he even have at this point? It's almost conceding the game when he starts anymore and we can't afford to keep doing this.

Send carmona back down again (does he have options?).

Not serious, but I'd be entertained if they sent a whole bunch of these guys down and brought up virtually a whole team to replace them. Like a Bball coach who substitutes all 5 players at once, to make a point.

Fausto should've thrown to 1st off line just enough to hit Tex in the back as he dived back to the base.

Fausto hit Teixeira on the first pitch after giving up the bomb to Granderson.

Teixeira started shouting at Fausto. Benches, bullpens cleared. Joe Girardi and Manny Acta got in a shouting match.

Be stupid? That was bush league by Carmona. He hit him out of pure frustration. I guess you would be ok with the opposing pitcher doing the same to our star?
