This lineup is hitting .464 off Santiago. With a 1.098 OPS. Though he has been much better on the road (3.03 vs 4.08) than at home, he's struggle lately with a 6.39 ERA over his last 30 days.

Let's get to him early and often.

Good clean inning for Ubaldo to start the night off..... would be nice to pile on some runs early and take the pressure off.

Rays take the lead in NY on a leadoff HR by Matt Joyce.

How many times did Underwood call another player Brantley that inning? 2 or 3?

Ubaldo really laboured there in the 4th..... could've been a lot worse than the 1 run he gave up, so I'll take it.

Really poor AB by Raburn after the Santana leadoff double.

Still tied at 1.

*pant* *pant* *pant* My heart just worked its way back down into my chest - wow, what an ending! I started off this season saying I'd feel good if they played .500 ball after last year. This last week I'm feeling a little bit like the Cowardly Lion, saying "I do Believe, I do Believe, I do I do I do". Can Tito pull off another first-year-manager miracle????? He did it in '04.

Tonight's the reason I don't get people saying that nome of this means anything because this team doesn't have the horses ro win it all. tonight is one of the great moments in Jacobs Field history. It's just fun to be in this chase. I've missed it for six years this feeling. It's magical. It's why we love baseball. This is worth the effort to root on this team, to believe in it.

The walk-up tomorrow better be huge.

Satisfied as we headed to the 9th, enraged as we left the top of 9th, elated when it was all over.

That was a fucking bomb and the bat flip and arms up as he left the box are burned into the brain.

That was tremendous.

"I was just trying to shove a ball through the hole at short and score the run"- Giambi

You missed that hole, dude. By a fucking lot.

To each his own in that regard. And that was fun and it was huge. Maybe enormous depending on what happens next.

But I can easily list ten better off the top of my head.

Not in this decade (or millenium) but I can get to ten. Tonight woulda been just another night at the yard.

Depends what happens the rest of the way. Not sure you can make that claim now. If this is the springboard to something bigger, it immediately shoots up the list.

But, that's just me.

Though, I see now that you added that caveat. So carry on.

Woah, Woah woah..I truy meant regular season moments. I didn't put that there and I apologize, but I was in no way comparing this to Tony Perez's walkoff or Thome's homer in the 95 series or Alomar off Rivera (which may be my favorite Indians moment ever) or anything like that.

But in the regular season, it's a top 50 moment. Probably along the lines of the Bill Selby off Mo or Santana walk-off grand slam games.

Regular season it's a clear number 1, period. This is the last week of the season....the great teams had everything locked up by now. When is the last time we had meaningful last week regular season games at Jacobs/Progressive Field?? I would say 2005 is the only time and that didn't work out so well. 5 games left in the season, 1 game up for the wild card was the situation. Post season is bigger so it compares to none of those I agree. But regular season, last night by far the most meaningful. It's not top 50. It's top 1. Even if they lose their next 5, it will not change it. You can't diminish it just because people aren't interested in this team. It's the biggest regular season hit in Jacobs/Progressive history.

Re: 09/24/2013 - Indians Vs CWS - Big U goes for another Big

scrambler makes a great point about if we're just considering regular season games. In terms of the enormity of this game, nothing really comes close. The Indians won the division by 30 in 1995, 14.5 in 1996, 6 in 1997, 9 in 1998, 21.5 in 1999, and 6 in 2001.

Other moments are great, Manny's "WOW" walk-off against Eckersley, the 14-2 comeback, Belle hitting 50, Santana's walk-off, the June 1, 2007 walk-off, and others, but with context factored in, this one just might be the best regular season moment.

But, it's a mere footnote if they can't close this out and hopefully win that wild card play-in game.

I was there last night in the bleachers and it was the best reaction I've been a part of. There were literally pile-ups with people hugging and falling over into each other. It was great.

That was a fucking bomb and the bat flip and arms up as he left the box are burned into the brain.

That was tremendous.

You missed that hole, dude. By a fucking lot.

That hole was in the right field seats.

DAMN could that man hit
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB
