MLB playoffs are certainly the second best time of the year if you have a team involved.

NFL playoffs, feh.

Bowl time... feh.

I've done a good job of containing my anxiety and excitement up to this point. Trying to train my mind to be alright with whatever happens. But once I walk in that park, that'll all change.

A best of three, three straight days - no rest. Logistically very possible. And the very logistics that would make it "tough" would give the advantage to the division winners.

Money is not an excuse. Makin' it hand over fist either way. And travel hassles for the players - gotta hit a ball with a stick only 7 hours after you deplane? Tough shit.

I agree with others here in regard to the real reward to division winner should be...winning the division. But if you're gonna entertain the wild card idea, I would argue having it come down to one game is about the stupidest thing in sports.

I'm in favor of taking the season back down to 154 games and expanding the divisional series into seven-game affairs.

One and done is exciting, but it's also complete BS after the grind that is the regular season.

I thought that Antonetti's idea of a double header and a game for best of 3 was interesting if you had to do this.

But make the double header the SECOND day.

Think of the managerial decisions....

I'm for whatever it takes to get the season over, including WS, by Oct 15th. The boys of summer shouldn't be playing in the face of a hurricane west wind.

That's reasonable. I wouldn't mind seeing that in the future. It's certainly ridiculous that it's a season comprised of series and then your season ends if you lose one game.

Since they aren't starting the ALDS until Friday anyway, no reason a M-Tu-W series can't be completed. You're right. I never really considered it because I've never really heard it brought up.
