Wedge suffers "Mild Stroke"

Didn't care much for Wedgie when he was at the helm for the Tribe, but I sure hope this isn't a reoccurring thing.

Didnt realize Wedgie missed the entire 3-game series against us. But then again, it's hard to stay up late for those West Coast games.

He had what is called a TIA, a mini-stroke that goes away. It's a warning sign that a permanent stroke is on its way if something isn't done. With the treatments we have now, that can be all but prevented if he sticks with them, and eliminates the risk factors he has control of.

My aunt started getting TIAs when she was in her late 60's or early 70s. She lived to the age of 97. Wedgie should be safe for a while.

FWIW, I'm surprised this didn't happen when he was managing Milton Bradley. Talk about stress.

So, as long as no one utters the names "Brandon Phillips" or "Milton Bradley" or says anything disparaging about Casey Blake, he'll be fine?

Kidding. Not a big fan, but hopefully he gets this under control.
