Some really good stuff here, especially on Bauer and the overall throwing program for minor leaguers.

Somebody beat me to posting a link from Fangraphs?!

Good share. Thanks rebel.

I really like how they're leaving guys alone at the Major League level but implementing a lot of things at the minor league level. Let the guys who are there do what they're comfortable with and let them be who they are. But, with the minor leagues, with less ego and less track record, conform them to your way of doing things.

As I've said before, Callaway was at the Texas Baseball Ranch for the Ron Woolforth symposium that Bauer was at. Bauer's a big disciple of Woolforth and Woolforth preaches staying healthy and using proper mechanics. Callaway seems to be big on those ideals as well.

He's been an excellent hire so far. He's making a lot out of what seemed like very little at the start of the season with the rotation.
A God Damn dead man would understand that if a minor league bus in any city took a real sharp right turn, a Zack McCalister would likely fall out. - Lead Pipe
