I hate John Buck. This guy is the stereotypical good field/no hit catcher that the Royals platoon, but against the Tribe he's Mike Piazza in his prime. Last year he hit .368 against Cleveland and .231 against the rest of the league. This year he's at it again, in the first two games at least.
I also hate Mike Sweeney. Last year he hit an unreal .389 against the Tribe and .232 against the rest of the league. This year he already has two dingers in two games. This guy hits like Barry Bonds when he sees Cleveland pitching.
We have another 15 or so games against the Royals, so Wedge and Willis need to figure out a better approach against these guys. Like intentionally walking them at every opportunity, perhaps? Or how about knocking them down a couple of times? Or look at some tape to see how other teams are consistently getting them out?
What do you want to bet they both go deep against Sowers tonight?

Sweeney is one of the all-time greatest Indian Killers. Every season he seems to destroy us, and usually in dramatic fashion.
And they constantly pitch to the guy despite the fact he's had no one hitting behind him, ever.
