Can Lee ever give up less than four runs? He's a 6IP 4ER pitcher.

Long relief is a problem area for the Tribe. They've got nobody who's reliable right now.

Sowers, Lee and Jake not making it out of the 2nd inning is the much bigger problem.
Not having a reliable long reliever is hopefully not something that is too essential for the overall success of this team.

It's not? Coulda fooled me last night. We had nobody to call on when Lee got bombed, so he gave up 8 runs. If Sowers gets shelled again tonight, who is Wedge gonna call on? They're all used up, or unreliable.

Man, did Wedge blast Lee after the game or what? Check out the game story in the PD. He said it's a wake-up call and Lee better be ready to pitch next time out.

Slow down, take a breath and relax. It was more tongue in cheek.
With our rotation, there should be very few times that you call on someone to give you 4 innings out of the pen. Lee gave up 8 runs because he is stupid, not because we didn't have anyone to turn to.

He played the blame game last year, putting down Jhonny to the media. Now he's playing the blame game again, teeing off on Lee.
Everybody knows he blew it by not covering 1st. But to rip into the guy for his bad outing is rude, crude and uncalled for.

Lead Pipe wrote:His public lashing of Lee had everything to do with the mental aspect and little with the physical. He got on Jhonny last year not for having a sub-par offensive season, it was for the lack of hustle and lack of awareness in the field.
