Would you just give it to MLB/Bonds if they asked for it?

What about if they offered you $250,000.

I am pretty sure I would rape the shit out of the fools that would be doing everything they could to purchase it.

Objectively speaking, baseball has repeatedly demonstrated it is a business before being a sport. Look at Bonds, Thome, Ramirez or Clemens to see how players regard the institution. Then take a look at how clubs handle providing player opportunities and their farm system players (and teams) to see how the clubs see the institution. Finally, take a look at Selig and his Direct TV negotiations to see how the baseball administration sees the institution.

In light of this, I would sell the ball to the highest bidder. This is keeping in the spirit of the institution.

Honestly, I'm surprised MLB hasn't instituted a policy that notorious baseballs are the property of Major League Baseball.

756 is a very special baseball, so if Bonds wanted it, 100-250 grand, (whatever he offered) would do it for me. If it's just some guy not connected with baseball, $500,000 atleast.

I have always been one to say, I would give it back for some tickets, maybe a chance to meet the player...somthing like that.

Back to the wall though? Man it would be hard to pass up the chance put myself in financial position to do whatever I wanted later in life.

Depends on your age, but one thing is for certain, after Uncle Sam takes half you'd wish you held on to it for more and trust me the IRS would know you sold that ball to somebody for that amount of money, there is no way to keep that a secret.

I'd sell it to the highest bidder willing to sign legal docs saying they would never let MLB or Bonds get their hands on the ball. And that if they resold the ball, the new buyer would be obligated to signing the same docs.

I would give the ball to Bonds in exchange for an autograph and picture with him and my family. Barry is the greatest player ever and a class act - just misunderstood. Seriously, Bonds has rubbed some people wrong over the years - but I actually think is act is kind of funny.
