FWIW, just watched Mitch Williams on the MLB Network wear out Bauer for Bauer's unwillingness to accept coaching and his poor mechanics.

Now, Mitch was a little stubborn in his day as well, but this trade isn't as much of a homerun as many are making it out to be. IF Bauer is willing to make changes for the better, and that's a BIG IF the more and more I hear about him, he could be a gamechanger. But, there appears to be legitimate questions about make-up and coachability

Probably about the time that realize he's a whining vag when he sees any ball further inside than the black of the plate.

He asked Dan Brooks of brooksbaseball.net, a site that houses a ton of Pitch F/X data, if he could do a study to see if there's a correlation between slugging percentage against and vertical release point.

Not many 22 year olds caring enough about the craft to wonder about something like that. It's impressive. I really hope it translates into results because anybody who cares that much and studies that much deserves a lot of success.

I'm really glad that the Indians are going to let Trevor be Trevor and see where it takes him and them.

Sounds like it might be a case where for a lack of a better word he's a bit of a geek and others didn't know how to address that.

Maybe this is where I get shown a bunch of number guys can do the right thing.
