When Tomlin's turn comes up in the rotation, we should start Accardo and bring Tomlin in for the 2nd.

12.38 ERA in the 1st inning this year.

AND Tomlin craps his pants.Image

On an upbeat note, at least we won't be on the news as the latest losing team involved in a perfect game.

Olympics opening ceremonies looking rather nice...

Tailor-made performance by the Tribe here coming off a win against Verlander, which may have been the biggest triumph of the season.

Yeah Detroit lost but JFC, how could they shit the bed like this after Thursday's game? Don't answer that.

Not so sure they shit the bed, more like having a guy out there that can't get guys out.

Zach McCallister is pretty much your run of the mille average prospect young pitcher.

And the difference between his "stuff" and Tomlin's is alarming.

Tomlins been around the league a few times, guys have all the video now - for the same reasons soft throwing lefties don't work in this league anymore, guys with pedestrian stuff like Tomlin are going to get raked. He's a 5-5 and a half guy. He just is.

And yeah, you gotts acore some runs, but if it was pretty clear to us that game was over early, I'm sure it was to them as well. You aren't coming back from 5-6 down often, let alone when you have J-Lo and Shelly D in the line-up.

^^^^^^ If Camonandez is looking pretty good at the end of his suspension, does he take Tomlin's place? I know that most of the SP are at similiar levels of suck right now, but it seems to me that Tomlin is the weakest link.

I would say Lowe is the weakest link

If last season repeats itself, he will definitely be the weakest link down the stretch. For some odd reason I think he's going to improve and have more of his first quarter of the seasons success.

Last game for instance, his SS totally blew it for him (twice) in one inning. If it weren't for that, he may have gotten the W.

Don't care if it's Lowe or Tomlin just as long as it improves their chances. 3 days til the deadline, and while the relief pitching has been solid, and the bats might be coming around, besides left field, our SP is hurting the most. If they're not going to make a trade, bringing Camonanandez up, and sendin somebody down will at least shake things up and give them a shot at this thing.

Figuring out who blows more between Lowe and Tomlin isn't worth the trouble.

Problem is that they both blow.

And I'm not sure what games you cats have been watching the last three years, but Carmona ain't saving anyone.

Depends on what ya like really, seeing guys hit bombs or watching 25 pitch innings.

Ding, ding, ding. The reason that this isn't a playoff team, besides the odds that they won't score more than three runs on any given night, is that we don't have ONE starter, when it's their turn, that you can say, we've got a pretty good chance at winning tonight. Not Masterson and not Ubaldo, you never know what you're gonna get. The only guy that's been somewhat consistent is Zach and he's basically a rookie. They've been about as consistent as a .500 club. And Roberto Hernandez will more than likely just be part of the problem.
