I'm riding a two game win streak!! If we lose this one, I'm holding you responsible and not Derek Lowe and his patented Stinker, I mean Sinker! :dingle:

Daz, how often do you get back to the North Shore? Maybe you can parlay this win streak further by being here in person.

And yet you (and a few others from Across The Pond) follow this team? Why???? What drunken lost bet made you have to be a Tribe fan? I'd be interested on how you and BP and ??? (don't remember the name but I know there is a third one of you from the Isles) ever decided to follow the team that most of us were born into.

I pissed someone off in a past life!

Seriously, they started showing Baseball in this country in '97, although I didn't start watching really until around '99. As a student, it was late night TV viewing. At that point it was only really ESPNs Sunday and Wednesday night games that were shown and I guess the Tribe were on a lot at that time.

Really, the DP combo of Alomar-Vizquel got me interested in following the Tribe..... casual at first and then, it somehow just developed where by I spend every night from 12am-3am watching the game.

And now?! Well, I'm trapped!

Not to make excuses...but while both those throws were rushed, the receiver was looking directly into the sun on both plays.

/this game is gonna get real ugly. Why did I pick the Lowe game to watch this week?

Well, Lowe minimized the damage!

Still not sure why we were starting Choo with a 3-2 count to Droobs in the first - Scherzer is probably 3 times more likely to get a K than a GB, it's a low percentage play right there!

Glad Cabrera wasn't needed for the inning ending DP. We'd still be in the top of the 2nd.

Most insulting? Droobs has twice the errors at SS than Jhonny has. ::doh::

With Carnandez/Hermona starting tomorrow in the minors and the Indians having a day off before Roberto's 3 week suspension is done, he'll be lined up to replace Lowe in the rotation it would seem.

Since heading to Detroit and being their starting SS Peralta has had a better Fielding% than Asdrubal - roughly 10 points each year. It's Wedgie's fault.

Next year is his buy-out year at $2.75 million. After hearing him talk to Hammy and Rosie after yesterday's game I think he should quit baseball and become Hammy's sidekick. Rosie can search stats...

Yeah, 1.08 ERA in his last three starts - we'll destroy him.

At least it was fun watching Cody Allen blow away Miggie's ass. Got him down in the count with offspeed stuff and then blew a heater right by him. How the hell was this kid available in the 23rd round last year? Was he one of those guys who was supposedly impossible to sign but they waved some money at him? Give a bonus to whichever scout recommended him.

Anyway, I don't want to get too pumped after only two appearances, but I can see why this guy went from A ball to the majors in half a season.

Speaking of young up-and-coming arms, McAlister has put up some very nice numbers lately. Tonight will be a great test for him against this lineup in a game of high importance.

Not to split hairs, but Allen has actually had 3 appearances now, his first being a shelling at the hands of the Orioles last Friday.

Tonight, I cant think of anybody (With a Wahoo on their sleeve) that I'd rather take to go up against Verlander than McAllister. Tribe's sticks have been alive the past few games, so I'm surprisingly optimistic for tonight.

Last night was a shame. Lowe was pitching a solid game and ACab single-handedly blew it on two routine plays--shitty.

Next year is his buy-out year at $2.75 million. After hearing him talk to Hammy and Rosie after yesterday's game I think he should quit baseball and become Hammy's sidekick. Rosie can search stats...

My uneducated uniformed little green man in my head has us resigning him back somehow ( mainly because of lack of demand) for around 5 million.

I swear I'm not making this up. Justin Verlander is supposedly dating supermodel Kate Upton. In the span of less than a year, he wins the Cy Young and MVP awards AND bangs the most gorgeous woman alive. Who else can't help thinking this lucky bastard sold his sold to the devil?

I just read that Allen is only the 6th player drafted in the 20th round or later to make it to the majors by the year after he was drafted. That doesn't mean he's going to have a successful career. Maybe it just means he wasn't drafted high enough. But these are the kind of picks the Indians have to make to be competitive. Drafting a Cody Allen. Buying Esmil Rogers for 150K. Trading spare parts and washed up veterans for a Joe Smith or a Chris Perez or a Zach McAlister.

So far Allen has gotten 10 batters out without allowing a run or hit. Yeah, an extremely small sample size. But I'm willing to give the kid a chance, with the knowledge that Matt Barnes had a similar start. I don't recall him throwing a fastball past Miggy Cabrera for strike three, though.
