Pretty big blow. Pronk was having a pretty good year, and was one of the team's biggest producers. Couldn't have come at a worse time as the Tribe is in the middle of their worst slump of the year.

Luckily, the Twins are on their way to Cleveland. Also, if Grady comes back real soon and makes an impact, it would make Hafner's absence hurt a little less.

Grady's going to need at least 3-4 weeks of rehab ABs in the minors and he's not even close to ready to go on a rehab assignment. He'll be lucky to be here by August, if he gets here at all.

It's a race between the former Fausto Carmona and Sizemore to see who can make it back into uniform first. At this rate I'm not counting on either, and if they do make it back, certainly not counting on them being useful.

Put it this way. Fausto was about 6 months behind the Marlin. And he is about 2 months away from being allowed to play. So say we are at 8 months for Fatso...does it really matter they both blow and a waste of the precious little money we have to spend.

Phillies assistant GM Scott Proefrock said Thome (back) could return to the team by June 8, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Recommendation: Thome, on the disabled list with a lower-back strain, has been playing in extended spring training games. The Phillies start a nine-game road trip against American League teams on June 8, and could use Thome as a DH during that stretch.
