Funny to me that Donald did not get the call up instead of a guy hitting .232 in AA. Has Donald fallen that far?

It's just a 3 day move until Tomlin is back on Monday.

Diaz and/or Donald are unlikely to play so makes more sense to leave Donald in AAA playing everyday and call up Diaz to sit on the bench.

Lots of nasty weather in the area and moving towards Chi-town. By my un-scientific estimate, they start the game, but expect a long delay at some point.

Or I could be totally wrong. (smoke)

After the first two reached, you'd hope for more..... that said, 1-run is more than we got off this guy last time around.

Hopefully Jeanmar can keep rolling.

I saw Diaz play in Erie last week against the Tigers AA team. Had the chance to watch the Aeros in warmups and batting practice. He's a big guy and certainly the tallest player on either team. He has a hell of a swing and the ball jumps off his bat with force-- much much more than Donald... but that's AA. He could be just like a Jared Head or a Jordan Brown...

I know I'm becoming borderline irrational about this, but did the Indians quietly fire Tom Hamilton?

I don't think I've heard him in two weeks, and even then it was Rosenhaus who seemed to be broadcasting most of the game.

I'm sick of having to listen to the most boring man on the planet night after night.

Hammy is following his son Nick during the MAC Baseball Tournament in Avon, OH at the Frontier League's Lake Erie Crushers ballpark. His son plays for Kent State and they're in the championship game tomorrow.

Hammy will never be fired.

Thanks, I just did some digging to find that.

I've been unable to watch most of the last few games and I'm just sick and tired of Rosenhaus. This MAC tournament needs to end.

Good god, that may have been the worst throw I have ever seen. How many bounces did Damon's throw yield from mid-shallow left? Jesus, is he really right handed and trying to throw left handed?

Between his pathetic offense and this....I am now on-board the Damon must go bandwagon.

Taking AC out in a 4-run game when he's due up next inning????

Soloff was talking him after his AB in the 5th when he popped out and slammed his bat into the ground - hopefully he didn't hurt himself doing that.

I was really worried in the bottom of the 6th when the bases were loaded and De Aza was at the plate. Last night I listened to the White Sox/Twinkies game and when De Aza came up with the bases juiced he hit a grand slam. (That's when I turned the game off...) I guess I can feel good that two runs weren't as bad as it could have been.

You remember Jason Donald, right? Maybe the Indians have come to the realization that he is not a big-leaguer. If so, I applaud them. It took them substantially longer to reach that conclusion with Andy Marte. The game up here is just too fast for young Mr. Donald. It's a shame. He always looks so good in his uniform. He wears his eye-black like a real pro. And that chaw of whatever it is in his cheek makes him look real tough. And his hair always has a major league sheen to it. He just cannot play here.

And peeker, before you jump on here and trash me...Bigfist started it. :salute:

I'm just hoping that Chicago is getting all their runs out of them tonight. Sure would be nice if our pitchers could contain them for the next two games.

In the bottom of that inning, De Aza slid into AC's knee pretty hard on an attempted stolen base, even though the inning was already over since Adam Dunn struck out for the third out. Just speculation.

Or maybe Manny just wants to give the guy a break, which I totally understand. You can't manage a major league club for weeks at a time with no back-up middle infielder.

I'm with you. One thing (of many) he does that annoys the hell out of me is when he says "for A ball" he swallows the "A". It sounds like he says "outside, furball". Sometimes we call our cat "Furball" because she doesn't answer to anything we call her (our last one came to you like a dog if you called her by name).

Listen to me Randy, it doesn't matter if you're white, or black, or a Sasquatch even. As long as you follow your dreams, no matter how crazy or against the law it is. Except for Sasquatch, if you're a Sasquatch the rules are different.- Meatwad
