Moved thru the bottom of the lineup nicely there. Got one more out of Porcello before they were ready to yank him.

That wasn't a routine play. Since we're at home I think he gets a double.

That play actually works out well for us. We were going to have a man on second with two down anyway. Might as well have the faster runner there.

that was butt ugly but I'll take 3 runs in 6 from Jimenez all day long. He did his job. This game is a must. I do not like the next two pitching matchups. Choo has been a superb leadoff hitter.

OPS for the four guys we've had leading off this year (I'm not counting the other four with absolutely no hits between them in 10 ABs):

Damon: 10 games/43 ABs, .433
Brantley: 21 games/93 ABs, .630
Kipnis: a measly 1 game/3 ABs, .933
AND....
Choo! 7 games/29 ABs, 1.057! Wow!

Not to worry anyone but, as it stands, if anyone gets on for the Tigers in the 9th then Cabrera could be the potential tying run with 2-outs.

Ninth inning: if Perez comes in should we hope all the fans in the stands (how many? anyone know?) cheer him or boo louder than last week?

Great Tiger D... Very sound. Kotchman 3 hits, a couple RBI's? Wow. If Rage goes 1-2-3, this will all be too good to be true.

I know that's what I would do, just to prove to Perez that we love our Tribe! Then again, with the way this 8th is going for us Perez just might not be needed.

Unless you're trying to throw out a 3 toed sloth from deep right field, then they look pretty damn competent.

In the context of the season, it's just a win. But, with the pitching match-ups the rest of the series it was a pretty important game to win in the context of the series.

Nice to get that first one.

With a ten game winning streak against us, even though it was last season, a loss might have gotten more in the Tribe's heads.

Also, I kept seeing Demitri in one of those field boxes. And he wasn't one of those assholes who spends half the game on his phone waving in the direction of the camera.
I got this one rule. I never go out with girls who say "bitchin'".

This

it was a massive win as you said. I'd be overjoyed with a split of the next two.

that was fun watching Perez get the last two. I read on cbs sportsline they were called Miggy and Piggy by angry Tiger fans!
