I'm not going to be able to catch the game later, so I thought I'd get this started now.

Can someone post the lineups when ready?

With Buchholz on the bump for Boston I am less unnerved about Ubaldo starting tonight (Buchholz has been devastatingly poor so far this year). Jimenez needs to string a couple more gems, like his one against Texas, together before I have faith prior to a game in which he starts.

I expect a lot of scoring and for the Tribe (with their ferocity on the road) to outlast the BoSox.

With how slow Buchholz is, if Jimenez's command is erratic, this is going to be a four-hour game.

Interesting comment by a Red Sux fan up here. They said they wished Acta had let Lowe pitch to one more batter so that he would be taken out during the inning. He figured the remaining fans in the stands would have given Lowe a standing ovation! Said what a gamer he was and how he always played hard. Nice to hear the enemy compliment one of your soldiers. :thumb up:

Clay Buchholz's tempo on the mound makes Rafael Betancourt look like Jake Westbrook.

The difference between Kip and Damon in the box is astounding. Damon is practically dancing around, both feet are moving. Kip is quiet as a church mouse.

Holy crap, but it is time for the Johnny Damon experiment to end.

He is finished. Not even close to making tough outs. Hell, the most embarrassing at-bat he's had was a hit -- the duck snort over the pitcher's head last night.

He is killing this lineup at the top. Jack is swinging a hot bat and so is Kipnis & ACab. Damon is a HUGE hole in there. Time to cut bait and move on. At the very least get him the hell out of the top of the order.

Effing terrible.

Ubaldo is done. That flash in the pan last start was a nice tease but this guy sucks. Imagine the damage if the Sox lineup was intact?

5 doubles given up, 0 out in the 5th, one run in already, and a man on 2nd, 90+ pitches, 5 runs in.

Well, only about 4 more starts until Ubaldo blind squirrels another and is deemed "turning it around."

Done. Stinks. Nothing. Worst guy in the league to play behind.

And in the "watching the game" category. Look how the guy is approaching the bottom of the barrel. Fooling around with the Nick Puntos and Mitch Meiers of these line-ups. If he had close to the stuff he once had....

Enough with the blind hope. Think he's gonna gain his freshness and velocity in August?

Good AB from Hafner.

Would be great to come back and win this game, but I'm content with them showing some semblance of a fight after being buried early.

Looks fine to me if you simply extrapolate out last Sunday's outing.

I think he's getting there.

That one start where he his 93 was good enough for a win is what you need to focus on. Stop fixating on the 14 other awful ones.

Because there's too much game left at that point, and the defense would be severely compromised. And Bobby V could have easily countered with Padilla to pitch to Duncan.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Some positive news is the Sox have had to really use their LH'ers in the BP. Of course they have a Lefty starting manyana so all our RH guys will be playing anyway.

Hmmm, for the 3mil we are paying Damon and the other 3 mil we spent on Cunningham, Shelly et all. We could have had Willingham. He of OPS+ 1.000

We offered Willingham more per season than Minnesota did. They offered him a third year. We didn't.

Point stands, but the Indians tried. Tried hard to get Beltran too, who is straight raking for STL.

I don't usually get too up or too down about wins and losses during the season (unless there is an obvious reason to be), but this loss ticked me off.

I'll get over it, but I'm a little salty over this one.
