Great win pitching McCalister, Ascensio, and Hagadone. Acta is doing little to nothing wrong managing this team this year. In a DH with an already short bullpen it was absolutely the right decision to try to squeeze 3 innings out of Ascensio who did a great job today.

Of course it was right to try it but he should have pulled him after the leadoff walk. He was nowhere near the strike zone. I trust you are making these comments after WATCHING the game and not just listening.

Just think how much better we can still be once we climb out of being under .500 at home. We're not on last year's opening couple months pace, but this year's team seems to feel more realistic at playing well for the long haul barring any injuries. Less walk off wins so far this year, doesn't feel as smoke and mirror-ish.

Like STP said, they need to be able to matchup better vs. lefties. All the division teams have flaws, and that is one of theirs.

Acta said in the post-game on 1100 that it "will take an emergency to use those bullpen guys tonight. I appreciate their willingness to pitch, but I've taken it out of their hands."

So no Smith or Pestano tonight. Perez should be ok. Asencio's likely done. Leaves you Sipp, Wheeler, Hagadone (minimal workload) and Perez.

Tomlin should go 7 innings I think tonight. He's been throwing pretty well and there's no Konerko in the lineup for the second game, so that helps.

I'm just messing around. My buddy has a jukebox that plays all 45s. Has about 500 in a jukebox that plays 200. 'Creep' is not an option for removal.
