Epic Fail Opener

Unread postby bookelly » Wed Mar 28, 2012 8:21 am

I feel terrible for poor A's and M's fans that have to go through this Japanese series bullshit. Went to tune into the game and can't even find it on DirectTV (there's a tape delay that starts 6am.) If Selig did this to the Indians I'd be even more pissed. In fact, I'd be furious.

Talk about getting too cute. Selig needs to fucking go. He's a great example of what is wrong with greedy asshats who sacrifice for short term profits on the backs of their customers. But he's 80+ so why should he care if the game is healthy in 10 years? And they wonder why kids in small markets don't watch baseball.

EDIT - Great game though. Which makes me even more pissed I can't watch it.

Yep. Selig works for the owners = $$$$.

Owners mainly , "greedy asshats,".....It's all about the benjamin's...you willing to spend $7.50 for a beer and $5.00 for a hot dog?.......The value is the ticket itself. It's the gas, parking, and ancillaries that bust you and cut my family trips to the park from 20 to 10 a year.

Frees up more time for the museums, battlefields, and state/city parks.

I thought this was about our projected Opening Day weather:

You got that right. I took the kids to the Natural History museum last week. I almost balked at getting the family season pass for $75. But I'd spend more then that to take the family to a single browns game, and close to that for an Indians game. And guess what, we left the museum satisfied and happy. No bitching about ownership. No watching my son's favorite T-Rex sign with another museum for more money. No one at the museum told me they'd only bring in exhibits if people bought passes first.

Professional sports has a long way to go to get my $ back.
