Bonds
Final Countdown: Bonds Hits No. 745
Barry Bonds moved within 10 home runs of tying Babe Ruth on Tuesday night, bashing No. 745 off Tom Glavine. Bonds, who'd never homered on May 8, leads the NL with 11 home runs this season. Story
• In Progress: Mets-Giants

Notice anything wrong?
Even the worldwide leader gets things wrong now and again...

Hmmm, maybe Babe Ruth wasn't the one who hit 755?
Brilliant job ESPN.

I hate Bonds, but I love to watch him hit a HR.
It's love/hate, kinda like with Belle.

Anyone else get the feeling MLB wants this to get over quickly? I dont recall in recent years Bond's seeing this many pitches. It's almost like their saying let him get it over with then walk him the rest of the year.

As he gets to within 4-5 HRs of the record, he'll start pressing and he won't get much of anything to hit either. I still don't see this record going down until mid-July at the earliest.

I hope he gets to 754 and is walked every single time. Intentionally too.

I wonder if he will have the *stamped* balls like Mark Mcgwire's. Those balls were so juiced, I have still never seen line-drives go out like this

If baseball had any soul at all, they'd suspend him pending an investigation & hearing and not allow this fiasco to occur.
Make the courts step in and overrule them.

Screw that, see if you can find video of Russ Springer pitching for Houston last season pitching to Barry Bonds.
Now THAT was "stragedy."
