Just wanted to get the game thread up there. I'll get the lineups on here as soon as their out, but here's the pitching matchup tonight.

Angels- Ervin Santana 2-4, 5.50 ERA, 25 K, 16 BB, 1.63 WHIP

Ervin Santana's career numbers against the Tribe---
3 career starts. (0-3) 8.2 IP, 13.50 ERA, 4 K, 7 BB, 2.65 WHIP

Well i'm in college and I don't have class tomorrow until noon so I can afford to stay up late. I just wish I could watch it instead of listening on the radio. I hope the owners made progress this week (Jeff Passan said they were going to talk about blackouts).

I've got 3 finals on Thursday. 12, 2, and 6. I'm trying to shoot for being done with my 2 p.m. one by 3:15 to give myself plenty of time to get back to my room for the Tribe game, and hopefully it'll be a quick pitchers' duel and it'll be over in a little over two hours so I can make my 6 p.m. and then the teacher, who is the PR guy at FSN, is having an end-of-class thing at B-Dubs, where I will watch the Sabres-Senators game one.

Now that's a college student's day!

Chuck Lofgren is dealing in Binghamton. Just lost his no hitter in the 6th, but has a one-hitter going. Akron's up 3-0 on the strength of HRs by Asdrubal Cabrera and Ryan Goleski.

Edit: milb.com just updated. Lofgren goes 6.2 in the 7 inning first game of a DH. 1 ER on 3 hits, walked 3, punched out 5.

Crowe with another 0-fer, going 0-4 dropping his average to .174.

For those of you upset with Blake batting second, I refer you to St. Louis' #2 hitter tonight. It's the great Ryan Ludwick!

Good job in the clutch from VMart...again.

This just in: Victor is good.

I still can't believe there were some calling for him to be traded in the offseason.

Victor is the most underrated player on this team. All of the talk nationally, and locally, is always Hafner and Sizemore. Victor is the best pure hitter on this team in my opinion.

That was prolly more directed at his throwing runners out, but he does call a good game and has handled pitchers very well. This is something I tend to overlook when wanting him to play more 1b. But no way should that be a consideration (trade).......he's the heart of this squad.

You're not being pessimistic, you're citing historical precedent.

Anyone watching on MLB.com Gameday? Looks like they've added some new data, including pitch speed, break, and something called pFX (?). You can also mess with the camera angles. Kind of cool.

Is Travis Hafner going to realize that he will not get a first pitch fastball with first base open at any point this season?

Give him a day off Wedge.

Let Grady DH and Gutierrez can go play CF for a day. Hafner's really pressing. He just needs a day to sit back and not get pissed. I'm just waiting for a Tanaka moment where he breaks his bat over his head.
