SportsCenter this morning highlighted the Bison comeback. Apparently the Bisons rallied from being down 14-6 in the 9th inning to win 15-14.

WP: Trent Durlington (INF) in spite of walking in the 14th run.

I looked the game up. It was back on 4/23/07. Buffalo gave up 5 in the top of the inning and then scored 9 (the last on a walk) to win it in the bottom of the inning.

I thought you meant INF as a pitcher, which means that he put runners on base and gave up runs without getting a batter out. Which would mean its impossible to get a win.

I'll definitely be hitting on that unbelievable game this week. They were doen 14-6, and scored 9 runs and there were still only ONE out. The one out was a hard hit lineout by Gutierrez. Buffalo was helped by three errors that inning as well. Unreal.

reminds me of that game against Kansas City a couple of years ago when Mike MacDougal gave up a pretty large lead in the ninth.

An additional note on that Buffalo comeback in the 9th:

- There is no record kept by the International League for the best comeback, but the Sporting News indicated that the only nine-run comeback in the ninth in the major leagues that wiped out an eightrun deficit came when Cleveland beat Washington, 14-13, in 1901. In other words, what happened on Saturday is pretty historical. One really happened once in the majors, and arguably never in Triple-A (unsure about the lower levels).

- Also, Lovullo (Bisons manager) missed the game as he was out of town for his daughter's confirmation.....but get this, his son's Little League team came back in the last inning scoring nine runs to win 17-16 in their game last week.

- Dave Meyers, Buffalo hitting coach, was the acting manager while Lovullo was away. Why the significance? He was a Seattle coach in the epic Indians comback from being down 14-2 in the 7th back in 2001.
