Westbrook out 3-5 weeks

Unread postby consigliere » Fri May 04, 2007 5:56 pm

Per Indians, Westbrook going on the DL. MRI came back, and it is a strained oblique. He'll be out 3-5 weeks. Thank God for Fausto.

At least it happened now in May and not in August. Just get back 100% Jake, hopefully Fausto can keep it going for you.

Well, at least now we won't have to kick Byrd in the balls.

I'll reserve that judgement until after tonight.

Yeah, the Orioles may end up kicking him in the balls.

Damn. Paul Byrd's looking a lot better right now.

It's like that bartender ... you all know her. You walk in the bar at 9 PM, don't think anything of her. Four hours later shes drop dead gorgeous.

Overrated pitchers don't put up the numbers Westbrook does. His value to this team is very underrated if you ask me. He's won 15 games and pitched 200 innings in each of the last three seasons.

Case in point, the Boston game last year when he gave up 15 hits and still kept us in it to win it later on. That's completely underrated.

He's our most dependable starter and has been over the last three years. Don't forget, in '05, he was 2-9 and still wound up winning 15 games.
