Well, if you only give up 3 runs (which we'd have to do to lose), you have to blame that one on the offense. If you give up 3 runs, you should win most of the time.

Perfect example of Blake there.....he is actually a very good defender over there at 3B....it is the throws that used to always get him in trouble. TO borrow a line from Ueker, "unless Victor Martinez has a rocket up his ass, he ain't catching that one."

Way to bounce back Nasty. One of the coolest plays in baseball is the strike-em-out-throw-out. Talk about putting the fire out of a rally.

That's it. Offense shat the bed on this one. You give up 2 runs in 9 innings, you have to win. You have to. Didn't draw the walks we usually do, and ended up getting only 6 hits. When Casey Blake is your entire offense, you know you're in trouble.

Mastny obviously didn't have it tonight. The dude ALWAYS throws strikes, and he kept pitching from behind in the count. That was my clue, should have been Wedge's clue as well. Why Perez wasn't in there, I have no idea.

Well my Tribe just got back from Camden and we had a great night. Heading back down tomorrow afternoon for game 2. We looked like a tired team tonight. The good news is we didn't really use up the pen - a pen that is in dire need of some rest. I think we'll bounce back tomorrow.
