Okay, just trying to keep these game threads going. I'd expect much less participation on a Friday night, but nonetheless, some of us will want to rant and rave about what it going on.
Cleveland Indians (17-8) at Baltimore Orioles (12-16)
Pitching Matchups: Paul Byrd (2-1, 3.50 ERA) vs. Erik Bedard (3-2, 6.09 ERA)

I need four ears tonight so I can have two on the Tribe and two on my Buffalo Sabres.
I'm kind of expecting a letdown tonight. First game on the road after a nice homestand is sometimes a bit difficult. Here's to hoping I'm wrong!

No Tom Hamilton tonight on the radio. There is some kind of high school baseball game tonight at Jacobs Field, and his son's team from Avon Lake is playing there. Hammy wanted to be there for the event. Just an FYI in case anyone listening wonders where he is.

That's excusable....I guess. That means a steady diet of Hegan and I guess Rosenhaus?

I don't know who it filling in for Hammy....Hegan obviously will do the play by play, but as far as a booth replacement to have a 2-man booth not sure. I believe Mike Snyder might be the guy.

Boy Snyder's dry in this role. He's a good radio personality, but not much of a PBP guy.

Have they mentioned this at all? Dellucci's in, but Garko's out: I assume that this is simply the only perceived way to play Martinez at first.

No explanation, other than Wedge mentioning in pore-game they wanted to give Victor a day off from behind the plate. So, really, it is no Garko tonight or no Victor.

Garko said last night that he was pretty exhausted and that the last three games had taken a lot out of him.

I thought Byrdie was a flyball pitcher. Two innings, two ground ball DPs.

I miss anything? Just got done tiring out and bathing my kid. First frosted mug of Dortmunder poured. Wife at a purse party till late. Kid has about 20 min left in him.
Tribe/Os and Nets/Raptors ... lets rock and roll.
What the hell do people that don't like sports do on a night like this?

Kelly's actually been suprisingly good with the bat thus far. His OPS is .847.

Is Tejada mailing it in already? I know he has a tendency to do that when Baltimore gets down in the standings. He can't be giving up in May, can he?

Yeah. Perez, but I don't think Wedgie trusts him in these situations. Should have used Cabrera, he's up there with Mastny in success against lefties.
