Very mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'd be proud of another former Indian (and fan favorite, no less) to make such a big leap.
Of course, it's with the Red Sux. That part blows. The only thing worse would be him ending up in New York, and that's only slightly worse. Plus, you hate to have someone with such an intimate knowledge of your team ending up elsewhere, especially a big market team with an already skewed advantage. (I still think that gave Boston an edge over us the past few years when Francona and Farrell were with them not long after their Indians stints, including the '07 playoffs.)
I'd wish him well, I guess, but if he's going to get his big break somewhere else but Cleveland, I'd sure prefer it to be far away from the East Coast.
