I'm good with it. The arguement that he only has 3/4 of a season in his arm is a legit arguement.
If as a #5 he can hold his own until someone else proves their worth and then replaces whatever arm that inevitably will be hurt while being a veteran influence the Indians could do worse at #5.
I'm more concerned if it becomes a case where Lowe is the #4.

Yup. Lowe is this years Uncle Fester. He'll be traded at the deadline.
/Now I just gotta find a picture of Lowe wearing a sombrero...

Bump (for shits and giggles and to wonder if Jim Bowden has given any updated thoughts).

I would have been wrong about Lowe had I participated in this one. Of course at that time I didn't know Fausto Carmona wasn't really a pitcher for the cleveland indians either.

Would have liked a veteran LHP, still would take Wandy, but I'm pleased with Lowe.
That said, now we need a REALLY good defensive 1B since we should lead the league in groundballs induced by starters. Can't let innings snowball because of a shitty 1B.
I agree. I think Hannahands is a lock at 3b.
Chiz gets another turn in Columbus. Especially with Donald around.
Anyone know where you can find fielding metrics you don't need a PHD to understand?
Couldn't disagree more.
I like Hannahan. I think he's a potentially valuable member of the team. But he's doesn't start on a championship team. If that's what we are pretending to be.
I can't envision any scenario where Chiz isn't the starting 3B going into and coming out of spring training. And he sure as shit isn't going back to Columbus because you can't keep Hannahan and his tennis racket out of the batters box.
And before anyone says anything, yeah, I understand the whole ground ball pitcher thing. The 3B who gets most of the
at bats should be able to, you know, hit and stuff.
fuckin nailed it you guys. I don't understand why people sometimes act like I don't know what Im talking about.
I got this one rule. I never go out with girls who say "bitchin'".
