Drinking during games

I hate Perdickski as much as anyone (see least favorite player) but my GOD...they're allowed to drink during games?

Being a MLB baseball player has got to be...no, no, no, it clearly is... the greatest job in the world. This seals it.

Been going on forever. Just about everywhere

This is part of the huge smear campaign against Francona and the players, to blame theim for the entire collapse. They broke HIPPA laws, among other things they could be sued for (and I hope Terry does), and I hope nobody goes up there to work for them ever again. But they will. $$

Its what they do. Like my tee
nage son, its always sommeone elses fault.

Guy I know that used to be an agent swears to me that Mark Buehrle gets hammered in the bullpen on all nights he isn't starting, drinking vodka and whatever out of a Gatorade bottle.

I watch for drunk players after rain delays sometimes, after someone alleged that Ryan Freel did that.

What the hell else is there to do? You play once a week, for the most part, and the other four nights you sit and watch. Get these two or three hours early. I know purists are going to be suprised because everyone should be a team player and rah rah rah every at bat. But we're talking a 162 game season a starter will only take part in 30-40 of them. That's 130 nights of...

hell I wanna tap a Blue Moon just thinking about it and it's not even noon yet :hic:

I talked to a former roadie who said the reason a lot of performers get on drugs is because it's so damn boring, sitting all day waiting for the show.

Yeah I'm not surprised about the starters, but position players during the game is different.

As for musicians, well from experience I can tell you there's a lot of day drinking and smoking going on. We used to bring our clubs and try to get outside and play golf at least three times a week. But even then yer still getting drunk. By the end of a month long trip you can count the chunks of yer liver missing. Good times, good times. :hic:

Back in another time I sold cars......It was not only accepted in many places it was encouraged.

If you could do the job they didn't much care what you did when you didn't have a customer.

Then again, the Red Sox couldn't get the job done.

At least they kept it confined to the clubhouse. Though I doubt these guys would get their own smoking section these days...

Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB
