* You can keep him off the field by DH'ing only.
* You can keep him off the bases some by pinch running for him.
* You can give him days off against lefties to allow him to rest and recover.
* You can sit him for all games against the NL.
But no matter what you try, you cannot keep Tenuous Travis Hafner from getting hurt.
In the battle against steroids in baseball, some may believe that the Roids are used only to get stronger and more muscular. The truth of it is that steroid users become dependent on the drugs to hasten their recovery time from injuries. Those that quit using not only shrink, but, have big problems coming back from any injury they suffer while they are off the Roids. They may even make injuries more probable, I don't know.
Case in point, Travis Hafner? Makes me wonder.
