Fukudome-Donald-Hannahan.

Fear inspiring.

Today's the day to pin the first blown save on Valverde.

What does Tony Sipp have against pitching ahead in the count?

Why is Valverde still there? I thought warnings were issued...but apparently only when it concerns Tribe pitchers!

Isn't it still at the ump's discretion though? If they believe it wasn't intentional which it definitely wasn't.

Acta didn't argue.

Perhaps. But make it same situation but reversed for the teams positions and my cynical side says our guy gets thrown out. After all, someone up-thread said the league got the word out that the Tribe isn't supposed to win the division.

Brutal loss, 4.5 is a tall order with how many games we have to play. We need to absolutely rock our next 14 games. 9-5 minimum, probably need 10-4 or 11-3 to have a realistic shot.

Yeah, revisionist history to jump all over Smith. There's a legitimate argument for holding him but it was probably a coinflip type of play and Jackson did a nice job. I just don't know why we used LaPorta when we needed a technically sound AB.

Jackson was running in and he was bang in line with home plate in shallow centre. He had all momentum going with him in that throw. When the Tigers announcers said Fukudome was coming home I knew he was toast. I'm just sad he didn't at least break a Victor martinez limb.

If it's in between, it depends on who's on deck for me.

Brantley v. Valverde is a pretty decent matchup for us.

That said, when I found out the IF was playing back, I'd have used Marson. He uses CF/RCF and is more likely to hit a GB that scores the run.

All 20/20, but that's my feeling on it.

The most annoying part of this is that if Jimenez gives us a D- instead of an F, we win.

An F?? If the SATs were a metaphor for pitching performances then Ubaldo didn't even spell his name right.

Could pinpoint all kinds of things today. The blown call at 2B. The bullshit warning that forced Jimenez to pitch like a gelding. Hafner getting hurt and not being on 2B with one out.

They sacked up, battled back, and put themselves in a position to take the lead after being down 7. That's what I take away from this.

Now, we take care of business and hope to get it back to 2.5 or less with this homestand.

I'm not sure how much longer I can defend the Ubaldo trade.......

It's bad isn't it?
It's like it's the Colon trade in 2002 and we're Montreal.

wow, even if Pomz and White amount to nothing, if Ubaldo keeps this up, the trade is awful (would rather have 2 maybes than 1 nothing)..

Still, gotta think he reverts back to something between this and his first half of 2010.. right?
You know.. something.. respectable... and not.. this awful pile of bile..
