I have no problem with Delucci not bunting because I wanted to see them have to pitch to Hafner. If you sac Delucci they walk hafner and then you have a DP threat in Victor batting.

Little surprised they didn't try to get Grady moving with a steal during the Hafner at bat.

I would just prefer the guy with 9 SB give it a shot.

I have a huge problem with Dellucci not bunting. At least if they walk Hafner, it only takes a base hit to score Sizemore. 1st and 2nd one down is better than runner on 1st with two out.

Dellucci "close and late" from 2004-2006, 60 K in 162 AB. .253 hitter. He just isn't clutch and would have been a better asset in a sacrificing role.

Asking Dellucci to bunt is like asking Peralta to bunt. IOW, a bad decision.

Look, I am in Wedge's corner on that one. By not bunting, it provided Hafner the opp to get an at bat there and be pitched to somewhat. In any other scnenario, I probably bunt. But, not when Hafner is on deck and your #4 hitter in the hole.

Ugh. If we lose this one, it all points back to Davis. Westbrook got hurt, but Davis not there to pick him up and go 2-3 innings when we need him to (he only went 1/3 of an inning). Borowski has maybe one more inning and we are screwed (Mastny threw 2 innings last night....I guess he could go one).

I haven't had a chance to look at the Buffalo roster to see who pitched today other than Miller....but believe Mujica and Lara both pitched. Wich means someone like Sikorski or Koplove could get the call. THey are not rostered, so we'll have to purchase their contracts. Without looking I believe we have an open spot oin the 40-man, so no issues there. Needless to say, with Lee being activated tomorrow and him on a strict pitch count with a burned out bully, we need more arms for tomorrow.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Jason Davis DFA'd tomorrow. Obviously Francisco will be down, Lee will be up. Does Mastny go down for a fresh arm if he has to pitch again tonight?

Because Fultz, Davis, and Borowski are the only pitchers who'll be available tomorrow, assuming Mastny pitches. If they don't trust Davis, there's absolutely no point in him being here. Bring up someone you think can get the job done.

What he means is the throw beat Barfield, who was trying to steal. But he slipped his hand in to reach the bag before the tag was applied. He was called out anyways.
