I honestly never thought Carlos Carrasco would figure it out. I was never much of a fan of his. I thought he'd be sort of a bust. I figured he'd hang around the bigs for a few years, but as a mid-4's ERA back end guy.

But my goodness....he really has figured it out. He is dynamite. He can throw any pitch for a strike at any time. His control of his slider is unbelievable. He can throw for it a strike whenever he wants, and he puts it in the dirt when he wants a K. I can't remember the last time I saw him hang a slider. He's very impressive. I never envisioned him pitching like this.

I see him miss up all the time, like every other at-bat. Sometimes every at-bat. But when he misses up, it's WAY WAY up. Well out of the strike zone and well away to lefties (in to righties).

He never misses right down the middle at the belt. Very impressive trait.

We don't have an ace. It's ace by committee. It was Masterson earlier, it was Tomlin for a time, but now it's Carrasco.
