Defense on left side of Diamond. Championship Quality.
Defense on right side of infield. Pee Wee Quality.

I'm sorry that you can't handle how cool he is.

But my goodness....he really has figured it out. He is dynamite. He can throw any pitch for a strike at any time. His control of his slider is unbelievable. He can throw for it a strike whenever he wants, and he puts it in the dirt when he wants a K. I can't remember the last time I saw him hang a slider. He's very impressive. I never envisioned him pitching like this.
(now watch him give up 6 runs in the 3rd inning....Sorry!)

Also, the development of his 2-seam fastball has been fantastic. Did he just add that this year? I don't remember that when he first came up or even last year. He just had a 4-seamer that got crushed.
That 2-seamer is a great pitch, though.

what I always liked about him was that when he did miss he always seemed to miss down. His pitches have a natural downward movement which can only help him.

Im pretty sure he's always had it. I remember his scouting report saying he was a 4 pitch pitcher, who struggled with command and composure.
Also Masterson is our ACE right now. No question IMO.
