Droobs has caught Jeter in the only place it matters to me. I know people want to see AC get a deserving All Star start but that just doesn't matter to me much. Jeter gets the Lifetime Achievement award while anyone who breathes through their nose understands who the far better player is.

He won't catch him and I'm not convinced he's allowed to.

Like everything else in Detroit, the internet is controlled by the American Automakers. There is a lot of red tape and delays in getting proper permissions to be able to access information through these computers. Keep clicking on it. At this point in their careers, Id take Droobs over Reyes. Im probably biased, but Reyes is a clubhouse cancer. From all reports, Droobs is a great team guy. Plus he's almost 4 years younger, and cheaper. Reyes is great no doubt, and a much better baserunner. But I think Droobs overall game is quite impressive. And at the very least hes in the top 3-4.

You may ultimately be right about Droobs, and I hope like hell that you are. But, we are basing this whole top 2 SS in the game based on a little over 2 months production. I don't think you can say that Droobs is better than Reyes based on that.

Now, which player you'd pick taking into account age and salary is another question.

Either way, to the original topic, Droobs will be in the AS game. Probably deserves to start, but I can't begrudge Jeter either. This is the way the ASG works and it's nothing new. Jeters has long since earned his yearly spot there.
