Time to fire Jon Nunnally?

Eddie Murray was let go in June of 2005. Derek Shelton came from AAA and I remember the Tribe winning 9 in a row. Not sure if Nunnally is one of Acta's pals, but the players aren't hitting well. Aside from Asdrubal & Brantley (Hafner's .345 is in 32 games) are the best hitters on the team, .308 & .291 respectIvely.

As on the last week to two weeks I haven't been impressed with the way this team has been hitting, especially in working the count and situational hitting. Perhaps a change is needed. Who should come in?... Can't answer that right now. Not sure if the Clippers hitting coach is any good or if there are any coaches sitting on their couches at home doing nothing.

Might give the team a much needed spark and hopefully catch fire. Like what happened with the Tribe when Shelton came on board in 2005. Gotta do something and that's my 2 cents.

There are probably hundreds of guys in the league that don't know who the hell their team's hitting coach is.

If he were lost at sea tomorrow, there are guys on the team that wouldn't know for months.

And no, it won't make a bit of difference who you replaced him with.

That's right, it's his fault that Jack Hannahan has no talent, Matt LaPorta has no brains, Choo's worried about his DUI and Orlando Cabrera is old.

About the only guy I can say he should be working on is Santana, but truth is many guys don't even engage their hitting coaches. Maybe Carlos thinks he can figure it out on his own.

Firing him is like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I don't know why all you guys are coming to Joe Nunnally's defense. When the team stops hitting, what other explanation besides "it's the fault of the hitting coach" could there possibly be? I mean, he's the hitting coach. That's his job. It's right there in the title.
