Great article.
He somehow spun a vomitous 2007 Washington Nationals squad into a respectable 73-89 team,
Vomitous. Adjective, as in, all the Actaball in the world won't mean a thing if Hafner oblique, Sizemore's knees, and Santana's hitting remain vomitous.

Passan is awesome. Love that guy. This passage scared me a little though, even if I liked the "Bermuda Triangle of bad omens" line:
Josh Tomlin, the right-hander with a middling strikeout rate, a minuscule batting average on balls in play and an exorbitant percentage of runners left on base – the Bermuda Triangle of bad omens – is nonetheless 6-1 with a 2.41 ERA.

That's angry and terrible Rich's kid right?
Always amazed me someone talented and insightful like new Passan came from the loins of old Passan.

LOL ... it is. His kid can write.
Yahoo has compiled a very nice stable of writers. It's the general sports site I always have open on one of my tabs.

Yahoo sports actually pulls more hits than ESPN at this point. Was shocked when I saw the hitlog stats last month.

Good to see meritocracy still works in this country. Yahoo is such a clunker of a company they should just spin off their sports content as a seperate entity.
