Why would you downgrade the defense even more (Everett already at 3B) in a 1-run game?

It's a long way from Columbus to Cleveland to pinch run!!

sent back down already?

Perez was talking about having the catcher setup down the middle to lefties so his natural tail would hit the outside corner..... let's see if Carlos is doing that to Ortiz and Drew.

Great point.

The Brantley at bat was excellent but the Hannahan at bat was too and I looked past it to Brantley's and Cabrera's.

Hannahan's AB was just as big.

Way too much of the plate against Drew. And his ass better slow down and stay back, he's missing up and away.

A get-me-over fastball isn't gonna cut it.

Perez has no command so he's had to groove it. He's been struggling to get these saves lately.

No chance for a DP with Crawford - we need a K or a popup.

The Pedroia injury was huge:

1. He's a dick
2. He makes the play on Hannahans leadoff single in the 8th.

QFT.

Still can't believe Brantley laid off that 1-2 fastball. Especially after the questionable one before that.

And he got a piece of that nasty slider in on the thumbs.

And let's credit Manny Acta. Timely ejection.

It's getting weird enough that while people are amazed that Crawford grounded into the 4-6-3 I was actually confident he'd hit something hard enough at somebody to turn it.

In a monsoon.

Surreal.

Win the series.
