Volquez will be good. But has only averaged under 6 innings an outing this year.
Pitched well last start vs. Cubs.

Cabrera tied for 9th in RBI in all of MLB, tied for 11th in HR

Wow. That was the kind of bungled play I'd have expected from the Indians the past few years. Nice to see it the other way around.

This team makes the 95 Indians look like the 2009 Indians.

Those are best 3 pitches I have seen CC throw this season (regarding Drew Stubbs at bat to end the inning)

A rather circuitous route to getting a terrific closer. Guess the "third time" was the charm.

I was just thinking that Durbin is pitching more like he did with his recent stint with Philly and less like he did when he first played for us. Not pretty baseball back then from what I can remember.

Must say I'm enjoying seeing the Tribe play today. We don't have MLB-TV because I would rather hear Hammy call the game. But I noticed in the top of the fourth that it was free...and Mr. likes to say "if it's free it's for me". So I've been laying in the sunroom watching some really sweet swings. I'm just hoping these guys are saving some runs for the next three games. I'd rather liked walking around way-west Boston with my Tribe gear on this season.

Droobs has really made great strides at the plate this year. From what I remember reading it was O-Cab that gave him a few pointers. If that's the case getting O-Cab was totally worth it just for the improvement in A-Cab's batting. Now if the boy could just get the butter off of his glove today....

Time for us to make a statement to the national media that we are legit with Boston coming in town. They're a much better team than the last time they were here.

This seems to be Manny's only fault as a manager. He continuously sends out his young pitchers for an extra inning when it's obvious to the rest of us they need to be taken out. Carrasco had already given up four runs, two in the last inning, and his pitches were getting hammered when the Reds were making contact.

With the big lead we had, that's the perfect situation to send him back out there.

These young guys have to learn how to work deep into games even if they've given up some runs. Manny Acta knows what he's doing. He's teaching these guys how to overcome giving up some runs in order to work deep into games and save the bullpen. Moves like that are for long term improvement, not for results on that particular day.

Personally, I love it.
