Why would he ask for his release so early in the season? Ask Jack Morris, it's not even time to harvest the crops yet so that can't be the reason. Maybe he is behind on his planting the crops and needs his release so that he can expedite things?

Although I do seem to remember Thome hitting one out to Eagle Ave in either 95 or 96. So this may not be accurate, but was the best I could find.

Russel the Muscle reminds me of Carlos Pena in alot of ways. Except Pena has a pretty good glove which probably had alot to do with sticking around long enough.
