This has been a shocking-in-an-excellent-way inning.

Just because Matt Underwood brought this up earlier after seeing Alex White get hurt, Adam Miller is back pitching in the Indians minor league system for High-A Kinston.

He gave up 4 runs in his season debut but, since then in 5 appearances he's pitched to a line of 8IP, 2H, 0R, 3BB, 11K and his velocity is apparently in the low to mid 90's.

With not knowing how long it will be until his finger falls off, don't be surprised to see the Indians move him aggressively and perhaps he even make it to Cleveland this year if he stays healthy and performs.

As soon as I heard that White hurt his middle finger I immediately thought of Miller. I hope to God he doesn't have the same ligament injury Miller did.

That's really be a Cleveland curse if he did..... for one guy to get the injury it was very rare (an injury normally associated with rock climber apparently)... two would just be a huge kick in the nuts.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Mark Shapiro is a god damned GENIUS at making trades with the non-superstars.

Eduardo Perez, Ben Broussard, Casey Blake, Mark DeRosa, etc. The list goes on. Shapiro was great at making those under-the-radar trades.

Alex White got hurt, then he sucked and got yanked early. A Triple-A pitcher had to come in early. 3 errors from the Indians and generally awful, sloppy baseball. Grady Sizemore and Travis Hafner were out. Travis Wood was throwing a no-hitter.

And we still won. Man, this is awesome.

any win without Sizemore and Hafner in the lineup is huge. Kearns, Duncan, and of course Carrera all made contributions in that Sizemore-less abyss in left field. Pigs are flying.

Was down there tonight and the place was rocking like nothing I've seen since the 2007 ALCS. It was nuts.

Was behind the dugout on 3B and I could not believe the kid was safe.

When everyone filed into the dugout at the end of the game Acta was singing "Cleveland Rocks" with the song being played over the system.

Good Times were had by all. (except the Reds fans who made the pilgrimage)
I met my Spergon Wynn's mom once in a bar in Houston. It was a little awkward.

It's unbelievable how this team can look so dead for 4 or 5 innings at a time and still somehow find a way to win.

Awesome atmosphere late. I called Carrera's bunt when he walked in to the on deck circle. The guys in front of me kept looking back at me in disbelief after he beat it out. They were shocked that I had any idea who Ezequiel Carrera was.

Just downloaded the WTAM highlights and Tom Hamilton's reaction to Matt LaPorta's horrendous throw is outstanding.

Also, MLB Network's Quick Pitch just called him Ezequiel Cabrera. "Yes, another Cabrera on the Indians!"

No respect.

No respect up here in Bahstun either. I'll listen to sports talk up here and when/if they mention the Tribe, especially after a last-at-bat win it's because we're "lucky" or "got a good break". But when their Sux wins in the same fashion it's because the team is "great" or "resilient". I hope WE "resilient" them right out of the Jak....Prog next week. Go Tribe!
