Yeah, I'm sure fat fucks Evan Longoria, Alex Rodriguez, and Curtis Granderson all suffered oblique injuries from a lack of "core work".
23 MLB players as of May 4 missed time with oblique injuries. No idea what it is now, but that's a lot.
Simple too much core work is screwing them up.
Pick bar up off ground with very heavy weight, drop bar, repeat 2-4 times for a set or two. (need bumper weights or do it on grass). Now your core work is complete leaving you time to work on your skills. Hell do a couple of planks and jump up on a platform a few times, get the hell out of the gym and hit the batting cage.
Seriously I envision someone going overboard with 30 different must-have dynamic flexibility routines the guys have to do each day before they start their workout. I understand getting the blood flowing, and body temp up but something has to be screwed up a little in prepping these guys if there are this many injuries of that strain. Unless we just get more news this days, it seems ridiculously high this season.
