Grady is doing this on purpose. He read my threads and he deliberately had a long at bat in the first and gets a sold single in the 3rd.

Just to embarrass me

Damn I thought Pronk was gonna plate 2 there.

At least we're getting to Haren. He's thrown 56 pitches already.

Great at-bat by Pronk. Down 0-2, Orly distracts him by taking off for 3rd for no reason, and he still manages to foul off a 97 mph fastball up and in. Then he puts the ball on the ground to get the tying run in and even gets a hit out of it and sets up the go-ahead run.

Come on Smitty.

Unbelievable.

Aybar is God.

Ballgame.

Why leave Smith in to pitch to a left-handed hitter with a .349 BA who already has five hits this series with the game tied and two on?

Was Sipp unavailable?

Aybar has been slapping pitches to left. They didn't think he had any power to the opposite field. He does if you throw it right down the middle.

Anyway, tough luck but I'm happy with a split on this road trip.

11 infield hits this series for the Angels - wow. With their pitching and that many infield hits in addition to the normal hits and they're tough to beat. Let's see how they do when they come to the Prog with a normal infield.

Nice to see Grady back in the groove.

Ballgame. Wrong day to give Hannahan the day off or we would have gone 4-2. He's been playing every game so I guess Manny wanted him to have two days off.

I'm assuming Sipp was not available because he pitched last night. Those extra inning games depleted the pen. But tomorrow is an off day and Sipp had a quick 1-2-3 inning last night, so I don't see why Manny didn't bring him in against Aybar. If Sipp gets Aybar there the Tribe wins this one if C. Perez can hold 'em in the 9th.

The Angels are 4-2 against the Tribe but these teams look even to me, especially since all the games were in Anaheim.

Relax, boys. 3-3 road trip. Should have gone 4-2, but that's the way it goes. Bullshit IF hits and an error from your utility guy. They didn't show any quit in the 9th inning of a getaway day game where they blew two leads. That's cause for hope and optimism.

Focus on 4 of 6 this homestand now.

Sipp pitched in three of the last four games coming into today so I think Manny decided he wasn't going to use him no matter what. Sipp has 16 appearances in the first 32 games so he's on pace for 81 appearances. End result is Smith having to pitch against a lefty hitting .349 and the result was predicatable.

But I agree with tripods; it was a successful road trip. Now it's back to the Prog where the Tribe is something like 13-2.

I'm not too disappointed in the 3-3 road trip. We faced some very good pitching and didn't lose any ground.

I am not a huge lefty-righty guy, although I know it is "the way to go." I am more of a "if a guys hot" kinda guy. My thought is that if Raffy Perez is gonna give up his first earned run OF THE YEAR, let him be on the mound when it happens. I bet he was ticked to see someone else give up his first earned run of the year.
