Pathetic at bats from Grady

seen 5 pitches in his 2 at bats, great lead off hitter there.

Brantley is a pure leadoff hitter. He probably see more pitches in that at bat (11) that Grady will see in the entire game.

Weaver's 4 seam isn't working for him and the 2 seamer has been off so we need to cash in here.

On my own here it seems

4-2 Santana!!! another 2 hit game for him

Weaver over 90 piches. Looks like he won't see the 7th inning if he gets out of this inning

Alex need sto put up a zero here with the latter third of the order coming up. Get the offense back out there quick.

Weaver at 98 pitches. the 6th could be his last although Angels have an exhausted pen too after last night and their game on Thursday

More 2-out magic. All started by two amazing at bats from Grady and Asdrubal to get the walks after working the count after being down 0-2. Then back to back RBI hits from Choo and Santana; this bodes well for the Tribe for the foreseeable future.

I love this team. :nanner:

Off topic but they are replaying that Rondo injury. How did he come back in the game so soon?? It looked quite brutal, surprised it didn't snap

Really liking White this start. He's really battling and that was a nasty splitter he just struck Aybar out with. Keith Law can suck it, White is definitely a starter and was a good pick when the Indians made him their 1st round pick in 2009.

And he just got Abreu to pop out to limit the damage to zero. Like him even more now. :thumb up:

i didn't say it wasn't effective. i just don't like facing those kind of guys. they always seem to beat with you with some fluke hit, bloop, bleeder or texas leaguer. i much prefer to get beat by a big bopper who muscles the ball over the fence because then at least you can say they earned it.

Good sign that after having a rash of games where the Indians piled up the K's, they haven't struck out once against Weaver, who was leading the league in K's coming into this start and lead the league in K's last year as well.

Though I would have preferred them taking more than 10 pitches in that inning after getting Weaver to throw 40 in the last inning.

Quite the "slug-fest" after what we've seen lately. Going to need a solid bullpen effort to pull this one off tonight. 4-3 Injuns heading to the 7th. C'mon boys, let's add a few

I'd look at it the other way. Has Carrasco made a case to stay in the big leagues?

5.34 ERA, 1.60 WHIP in his MLB career, and he's hardly been impressive this year. It's not like he's some established veteran whose spot should be guaranteed.

So are you OK with those gawd awful red block C hats? Those should be banned.

Agreed. I used to think I was all for any inclusion of red back into the uniforms, but they went about it the worst way possible. Those hats are ugly and don't match the jerseys at all. The blue hats from the last few years were much better.

And the logo on Shin-Soo Choo's batting helmet is always off-center.
