Really liking White this start. He's really battling and that was a nasty splitter he just struck Aybar out with. Keith Law can suck it, White is definitely a starter and was a good pick when the Indians made him their 1st round pick in 2009.


And he just got Abreu to pop out to limit the damage to zero. Like him even more now.

i didn't say it wasn't effective. i just don't like facing those kind of guys. they always seem to beat with you with some fluke hit, bloop, bleeder or texas leaguer. i much prefer to get beat by a big bopper who muscles the ball over the fence because then at least you can say they earned it.

Good sign that after having a rash of games where the Indians piled up the K's, they haven't struck out once against Weaver, who was leading the league in K's coming into this start and lead the league in K's last year as well.


Though I would have preferred them taking more than 10 pitches in that inning after getting Weaver to throw 40 in the last inning.

Agreed. I used to think I was all for any inclusion of red back into the uniforms, but they went about it the worst way possible. Those hats are ugly and don't match the jerseys at all. The blue hats from the last few years were much better.
