With the way the Indians have played today, they really don't deserve to win.

And yet they're on the verge of winning anyway. This would be such a sweet win after such a frustrating game.

We close it out tonight then just 1 win in Anaheim gives us a satisfactory roadtrip, anything more is a bonus

I wouldn't say that. They've been savvy on the bases by taking extra bases. They've made some really good defensive plays. They've done some stupid shit and had some bad luck with the cloudless skies and high sun. Believe me, it ain't easy to catch fly balls staring up in to the sun.

It's a love/hate kind of game.

a win is a win is a win and i will take it, but damn, i hate this b-lineup with kearns, duncan, marson, et al. they always seem to struggle to score with this lineup.

i know we have talked about this before, but can we please end the austin kearns experiment in left??? he's done. put a fork in him. he is dead weight. a zombie would be improvement over his lame ass.

ok, i can hear all the naysayers now saying "the team is 21-9 and you're complaining about their 5th outfielder???". yes i am!!! sorry if i'm being greedy, but i want even more.

anyway, they are right on track to go 4-2 on this trip. just take 2 of 3 in caliheimgeles and i will be a happy man. go tribe!!!

Great to win the series but I hope these guys are looking at these close games and learning how important the little shit is in winning against excellent pitching.

I'll forget about Choo today because his head is up his ass, but moving runners, hitting the ball the other way, having some awareness on the bases and not giving extra outs in an inning are going to be critical if this team stays in the race.

You can't waste great pitching from your own side (and they didn't waste it today because they got the 'W') but games like that are lost because of finer details.

You could see that game coming down to execution in the 4th inning and you have to slip into a more locked in mode on each side of the ball. Hopefully they're figuring that out as they go.

You wanna be nonchalant in an 11-2 game that's fine. But you need to be much finer in tighter games.

I'm thrilled we're talking about a series win and a team that's 21-9. But at some point they have to get to a point where they're beaten in the late innings as opposed to making little mistakes and not executing and potentially giving games away.

I'm glad Oakland is an offensive black hole. I'll take that win for sure. But they've raised the bar with this start. I'm hoping they can continue to come together and focus on the things that make differences in tight games.

But doesn't that happen all the time in baseball? Heck, I thought for the most part, we deserved to win last night's game.

I like the comment that Acta made a week or so back. It sounds so simple. Something like: "everybody knows everyone wins 60 and loses 60, its what happens in all the other games..."

This "winning games you deserve to lose" and minimizing "losing games you deserve to win" is a HUGE part of "all the other games."

They're 7-2 with Marson and the 'B' lineup. The "B' lineup is winning against LHP, which is something the Tribe has not done well in a long time.

/I agree I'd rather not see Kearns, but he's a proven major league asset and I think he'll earn his paycheck at some point this season.

Perez looked fine on Monday and in 4 of his last 5 appearances before that.

Manning did say he was complaining of some back stiffness over the weekend, I hope that isn't an ominous development and it clears up.

They've already lost games in the late innings.

Yesterdays win was huge. It's nice to finally get a road series win. Now even if we go 1-2 in LA we split the road trip and come home at 22-11.

Anyone remember when the last Sunday night baseball game was at the Jake? That would be badass to get a nationally televised game sometime soon.

Could not have said it better myself.

Failing to get Marson in from 3rd with nobody out could have easily cost us the game, but they were resilient and kept plugging.

And in all fairness, I have to give Durbin an attaboy.
